History

Talrad Engineering started on 24 February 2003 and was born out of Talrad Radiators cc

The experience of the leaders lies in:

Main operation of Talrad Engineering

Talrad Engineering stands on two legs. The first is a manufacturing leg. We design according to customer's desire, heat exchangers in the field of water cooling, oil cooling and air cooling. Our expert designing is mostly based on the removable tube and grommet systems that in today's time, can be considered the best technology currently available.

We also service and maintain the above units as well as many other types.

The second leg is a service orientated leg and consists of various franchises and agencies as described below.

  1. Silverton Radiators
    We have been part of this franchise for 12 years already and it opens up the doors to various products in the radiator market. Other products include various pressure caps, anti frees, complete radiators, parts on radiators or custom made radiators all in the fixed core types.
  2. Behr Hella
    This is a franchise that is involved with everything concerned with air conditioning that is related to vehicles. We have the trained technicians  equipment and spares to supply in on and off road vehicles demands.
  3. Gearmax
    This agency enables us to give quality attention to light vehicles like cars and bakkies in terms of their gearbox and differential problems.
  4. Transportation Components
    This agency, supplies us with quality brand names like, Borg Warner thermal systems and Kit Masters. This involves the supply of fans, viscous fans, bushes, rubber mountings, torque arms, silicon hoses and other parts on Caterpillar, Cummins, and other engines like Detroit etc.
  5. National Luna
    This agency, supply us with kits for dual battery systems and 12v fridges and other accessories for the customer that needs that additional extra on his or her vehicle.

 

Quality control

Our workshops, gets inspected annually by the AA and the RMI as well as the dept. of labour and the MIBCO industrial council.

 

Mining engineering supplies

Talrad have been involved with various activities in so far as mining engineering supplies is concerned the past 13 years plus. We have vendor numbers with Anglo, Impala, Xstrata, Arm, De Beers, Highveld steel and others so far as Namibia and Botswana and the west coast of the RSA.

 

Future

Talrad Engineering has never stagnated but always moved forward, even during the so called world recession period, but that glory belongs to God Almighty who leads us.
